2 different natural lines of P. Vitticeps Bearded Dragons in Australia
...that there are actually two different natural lines of P. Vitticeps Bearded Dragon in Australia. The smaller Bearded Dragons from the north-western Queensland area and the larger Bearded Dragons from further west. This could very well explain some of the smaller Vitticeps Bearded Dragons we are seeing in the US that appear genetically healthy, but smaller than we originally thought Bearded Dragons should be.
This is coming from the gentleman who identified and named P. henrylawsoni's (improperly called rankins by some) and he shared some information on Bearded Dragons in their native environment.

This has always been a question of mine about Bearded Dragon size...
Why is it that in one clutch of Beared Dragons there is such a size difference. In most of the Bearded Dragon clutches I have seen, this has been the case.
You generally have 3 sizes of Bearded Dragons in one clutch. Small (runts), Medium (normal size), Big (towering over all others)
I always thought that this was due to so much Bearded Dragon inbreeding due to the fact that there is a only a very limited gene pool of Bearded Dragons here in the united states. Maybe this is not the case? Or a little of both? Any thoughts or comments on the Bearded Dragon size in America?
Have you ever seen or hatched out any Bearded Dragon clutches that all the clutchmates where the same size and grew at the same rate?
